For this vector I was inspired by Illamasqua make-up. Mostly by their Theatre of the Nameless Collection. Illamasqua is “make-up for your alter ego” that’s why I decided to use a photo of myself as a reference. I don’t know if it really is a self-portrait cause it doesn’t really look like me, but at the same time it’s very much me.
I feel like for this vector I took Illamasqua’s make-up and their collection as an inspiration and then made it my own. It’s about a combination of something dark but with bright colorful accents. It’s the not really knowing who the girl is and what’s going on in her mind but at the same time she’s me, or maybe not?
Yeah hard to explain, but I hope you kinda understand...I would like to ask you to stay nice in your comments (some constructive criticism is oke, just stay nice..) this is something new for me and i'm still a bit insecure about sharing it with everyone..
Latley i haven't really been making much vexels/vectors. The ones I did make where (almost?) all for divided collabs et vexelove. I often feel like I can be more creative when it's only a small part of a photo instead of a complete one. that way not everything needs to look right together.
The vector before this one was for the vexelove members collab, I really loved doing that one, but I did end up going back to realism, my comfort zone. Which is fine, cause I still love it but I also want to challenge myself more.
So yeah that’s why I guessIllamasqua: [link]
